Coastal hat twillies featuring custom hand-painted designs from artist Lindsey Simonds.

Soaring frigatebirds, gliding black skimmers, white-tailed tropicbirds and flying fish soar among a motif of baitfish and bird tracks.

Each swirling element of the Flyway x Litore Studio design was originally hand-painted by artist Lindsey Simonds in watercolor and gouache, scanned, and then intricately woven into a pattern to be used for textiles! As with nature, the process to create these special twillies for you were a labor of love for both brands, and we could not be more thrilled with the pieces.

Color: Tan with Full Color Art

About the Artist

LINDSEY SIMONDS

Raised between Sarasota and her family home on Little Gasparilla Island, Florida artist Lindsey Simonds' love of the coastal south and all creatures great and small runs deep.

After a 10-year career in land preservation and anthropology, Lindsey followed her dream of being full-time artist, with each piece telling the story of the meaning of land and our connection to it.

Lindsey serves as a Trustee Under 40 of The Florida House, our state's embassy in Washington, D.C., and has partnered with Garden & Gun Society, The Gasparilla Inn, Kevin's Catalog, the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, and now with great pride, Flyway Hats.

Lindsey lives in Winter Haven, Florida with her husband, Luke, and their daughter, Anna.
